Liverpool fans are expected to face travel chaos for two of the clubs upcoming fixtures because of rail strikes.

The Reds are due to travel to Nottingham Forest for a 12.30pm kick-off on Saturday October 22, with another away trip to Tottenham on November 6 - a Sunday 4.30pm start.

However, it has beenconfirmed by the Rail, Maritime and Transport union (RMT)that members working as train managers on Avanti West Coast will walk out on both of these days in a row over rosters. This means that Liverpool fans looking to travel to Nottingham or London for the two matches are likely to face significant disruption.

Dietmar Hamann has admitted he doesnt understand Jurgen Klopps pointed criticism towards him after the former Liverpool midfielder raised concerns at this seasons slow start.

Speaking ahead of Wednesdays trip to Rangers - which the Reds won 7-1 - the former Liverpool midfielder questioned whetherKloppcould spark his side back into form amid claims his time at Anfield could be coming to its close.

That point was brought to Klopp in the pre-game press conference, and the Liverpool boss sarcastically remarked: Oh great, hes a fantastic source, well respected everywhere.

And now Hamann has hit back at Klopp for his spiky response, insisting there are still problems.

Its about the matter for me: Its obvious that there are problems in Liverpool at the moment. Klopp may see it differently and if he thinks Im talking nonsense, then he should say so.

I have no problem with that at all, you have to respect other opinions and thats why I didnt really understand what he said yesterday.

New footage has emerged of Gabriel and Jordan Henderson exchanging words following Arsenals win over Liverpool last Sunday.

The pair had to be separated by team-mates having been involved in a heated exchange after Gabriel Jesus won a penalty for the Gunners late on at the Emirates. Referee Michael Oliver spoke to both Jurgen Klopp and Mikel Arteta about the incident, which is now being reviewed by the Football Association.

And now a fresh video from theTasty Football YouTube channelappears to show the pair share a firm handshake after the final whistle before another discussion, before Henderson points at the Arsenal defender while speaking with Brazilian team-mate Roberto Firmino.

An official outcome on the matter has not yet been reached.

Lazio chief Claudio Lotito has warned that anyone wanting to sign Sergej Milinkovic-Savic next summer will have to pay no less than 105million.

The bold statement from the clubs president comes amid links to Manchester United and Juventus, but it was not long ago that the Reds were linked with the Serbian midfielder.

The 27-year-old attacking midfielder has enjoyed an excellent start to the season, racking up three goals and seven assists in nine Serie A appearances. This campaign looks to be another of the six spent in Rome in which he has been one of the leagues standout performers - he has scored at least seven goals in all but his first in Italy.

But should Jurgen Klopps side make a move for the midfielder, they will have to spend at least 100million, with Lotito tellingIl Messaggerothat the price-tag is increasing every month.

I have no agreement with his agent [Mateja] Kezman to sell him to Juventus or anyone else in the winter. On the contrary, he is now worth 120m [105m], not 100m [88m]. Every month the price goes up.

Chelsea are interested in signing Liverpool target Konrad Laimer, according to German outletBILD.

The 25-year-old, who has racked up 167 appearances for RB Leipzig since joining in 2017, is out of contract next summer and showing no signs of sealing an extension with the German outfit.

Liverpool are monitoring the Austrians situation in the hope of securing a free transfer next summer, but Premier League rivals Chelsea look to have joined the race.

Graham Potters side have already made big steps to sign Christopher Nkunku next summer, and are also after their Croatian centre-back, Josko Gvardiol.

And now the Blues look set to make their presence felt in the race for a third Leipzig talent.

MoreHEREon Liverpools mid-season friendly with AC Milan during the Qatar World Cup.

The Reds will fly to Dubai for a warm-weather training camp during the tournament, giving those not involved an opportunity to stay fit.

The ECHO understands plans for friendlies are in the pipeline and a match with Serie A giants Milan has been discussed as top clubs look to use their time off from domestic action by keeping their non-internationals sharp.

Liverpoollooked at setting up a base in Cape Town, South Africa 12 months ago before deciding that Dubai would be easier given the relatively short flight from Qatar for those eliminated from the World Cup.

Its unclear exactly when or where the game with the Rossoneri would be scheduled to take place but the Reds are keen to play some fixtures during a period that sees them without Premier League commitments from mid-November through to Boxing Day.

Former Liverpool youth midfielder Elijah Dixon-Bonner has joined Queens Park Rangers as a free agent after leaving the Reds in June.

Dixon-Bonner began his career at Arsenal but was signed by Liverpool as a 14-year-old in 2015. The Essex-born starlet worked his way up the clubs youth ranks and was part of the side that won the FA Youth Cup in 2019.

But despite early promise, first-team options rarely materialised for Dixon-Bonner - he made only three senior appearances, none of which were in the league - and when his contract ended in June 2022, he was released.

Now 21, the midfielder has joined Championship outfit QPR and taken to Twitter to share his excitement at joining such a great club.

Choosing where I wanted to play my football in the next stage of my career was an important decision and theres no better place for me than@QPR, a great club that I am proud to be a part of. Really excited to be m/BzgesXrnFv

Liverpool look set to play out a number of glamour friendlies during the World Cup, according tothe Mirror.

The Reds, who will be travelling to Dubai for some warm-weather training during the tournament, have already agreed to play Italian giants AC Milan while out in the United Arab Emirates.

The likes of Mohamed Salah, Luis Diaz and Andy Robertson will not be in Qatar as their respective countries did not qualify, while several Reds - including Trent Alexander-Arnold and Roberto Firmino - may not be picked for their respective nations.

There is growing concern among top-flight managers as to how their players will be managed during this unprecedented period, not least those who are selected for the World Cup, but might rarely play and lose match sharpness.

Similarly, those who remain with the club will have a six-week period without competitive football before being expected to slot right back in come Boxing Day - when Liverpool go to Aston Villa.

Emile Heskey has admitted he would love to see Gabriel Martinelli in a Liverpool shirt.

The Arsenal winger has been in outstanding form this season, racking up four goals and two assists in nine Premier League appearances. The Brazilian found the net after less than 60 seconds during last Sundays 3-2 win over the Reds at the Emirates before setting up Bukayo Saka for the Gunners second.

Mikel Artetas side will have no intention of selling the 21-year-old, and with his side currently top of the table and flying, Martinelli wont be wanting to leave anytime soon either.

But Heskey has declared his admiration for the young Brazilian, suggesting he would love to see him star at Anfield in the future.

Heres some of what he told Ladbrokes: Fanzone (viaCaughtOffside):

I cant see Arsenal letting Gabriel Martinelli go any time soon, but hed definitely be someone I would be looking at if I was Liverpool.

If you look at that aggression in his game, and the way hes played so far this season, there arent many out there with his ability. Hes up and down the pitch, non-stop, for 90 minutes. Hes got the ability to drive at players, pull them in and out of positions.

Hes confident and comfortable on the ball to a point where, as a defender, you arent quite sure whether hes going to have a shot, put a cross in or take you on.

Players like that, youre always going to want in your team.

Reds scouting Anderlecht teenager Zeno Debast

Liverpool are keeping tabs on Anderlecht and Belgium centre-back Zeno Debast, according to90min.

The 18-year-old made his first-team debut last season after coming through the ranks at Anderlecht, and has since cemented his place as one of the Belgian outfits regular starters. Such performances earned the teenager a call-up to the Belgium squad recently, where he started their last two Nations League matches against Wales and the Netherlands.

And now Liverpool have reportedly sent scouts to watch the defender on a number of occasions, with Borussia Dortmund also interested. The Reds will no doubt be planning for a future without 31-year-old duo Joel Matip and Virgil van Dijk.

After his international debut in September, Belgium boss Roberto Martinez heaped praise on the Anderlecht star:

This was one of the most impressive debuts in recent years for the Red Devils. I have never seen such a young player make his debut so well. I enjoyed it. I saw a young guy with a lot of self-confidence, but also a lot of desire to learn.

Debast could well be in action tonight, as his Anderlecht side face West Ham United in the Europa Conference League.

Mohamed Salah still behind two Liverpool greats after Champions League record hat-trick

Robbie Fowler completes his astonishing four and a half minute hat trick against Arsenal in 1994

When youre a bit short on goals, one way of silencing your critics is by scoring three times in just over six minutes.

And thats exactly whatLiverpoolforwardMohamed Salahdid on Wednesday evening as the Reds ran out7-1 winners against Rangersin the Champions League group stage.

The Egyptian didnt even get onto the pitch until the 68th minute, replacing goalscorerDarwin Nunez, but his impact was devastating. Bringing the ball down in the box and holding off a defender before toe-poking the ball home for his first goal with quarter of an hour to go, Salah followed it up five minutes later with a controlled curling effort from the edge of the area for his second, before wrapping up his treble with a trademark cut in from the right, resulting in a left-foot finish that bent into the bottom corner.

By completing his three goal return in a remarkable six minutes and 12 seconds, Salah broke the record for the fastest ever hat-trick in Champions League history. The previous record had stood for over 11 years, after Bafetimbi Gomis scored a treble in eight minutes for Lyon, in a 7-1 win against Dynamo Zagreb on July 12, 2011.

Salah also become only the third player in Liverpools history to score a hat-trick after coming on as a substitute, after Steve Staunton against Wigan Athletic on October 4, 1989 andSteven Gerrardagainst Napoli on November 4, 2010. But despite setting a new Champions League record, the number 11s achievement isnt even the quickest hat-trick in Liverpools history.

That title belongs toRobbie Fowler, who put three past Arsenal back on August 28, 1994 in a ridiculousfour minutes and 33 seconds. They were the only goals in the game, as the Reds ran out 3-0 winners against the Gunners in a match televised live on Sky Sports.

Danny Murphy names two possible Jurgen Klopp replacements

Danny Murphy believes Steven Gerrard or Xabi Alonso could take charge of Liverpool one day

Danny Murphy believes either Steven Gerrard or Xabi Alonso could manage Liverpool in the future.

The formerRedspair, who are both plying their trade in management currently, have been tipped for successful careers after hanging up their boots. And much likeFrank LampardatChelseaand Mikel Arteta atArsenal- to varying degrees of success - both have been tipped for a romantic return to the Anfield dugout.

Gerrardretired in 2016 and spent some time within Liverpools youth setup before moving on to his first managerial stint at Rangers in 2018, where he led the Scottish giants to an unbeaten 2020/2021 campaign and a first Scottish Premier League title in 10 years. His return to the Premier League withAston Villahas been much tougher, with the 42-year-old under increasing pressure in the Midlands for not getting the best out of a highly-talented and expensive side - they are 16th with two wins from nine games.

Former Liverpool midfielder partnerAlonsoscoaching career has been much shorter, but by no means less successful. The Spaniard hung his boots up in 2019 and moved into Real Madrids academy system before a three-year stint at Real Sociedad B in which he took the Basque side into the Spanish second division for the first time in 60 years before leaving this summer. At the start of October, he was appointed as Bayer Leverkusen manager, following in the footsteps of another ex-Red - Sami Hyypia.

I think Steven Gerrard or Xabi Alonso could manage Liverpool, absolutely, yeah, Murphy toldFair Betting Sites. I dont think either of them have probably done just enough yet to warrant that. I dont think theres a Liverpool fan on the planet, irrelevant of the start of the season, that would be even thinking about a possible change with Klopp. I dont see that at all.

Salah hat-trick pulls him level with Haaland

Mohamed Salah of Liverpool celabrates his hat-trick goal against Rangers

(Image: John Powell/Liverpool FC via Getty Images))

Mohamed Salahs blistering hat-trick against Rangers has got the Egyptian back in the goals and also on par with another couple of goal machines.

As a result of Liverpools 7-1 win against Rangers last night, Salah is now joint top scorer in this seasons Champions League on five goals.

He is tied at the top with Manchester Citys Erling Haaland and Barcelona front man Robert Lewindowski, who scored a late header against Inter Milan in a 3-3 draw on Wednesday evening to keep the Catalan clubs qualification hopes alive.

Salah and Haaland will come face-to-face on Sunday when Liverpool host Manchester City in the Premier League.

Haaland is the Premier Leagues current top scorer with an incredible 15 goals in just nine matches.

Nathan Ake is under no illusions about the size of the task when his Manchester City side come to Anfield on Sunday - despite Liverpools poor start to the season.

The Redswill kick-off the weekend eight places and 13 points behind their visitors after winning just two of their opening eight st weekends 3-2 defeat to ArsenalhandedJurgen Kloppsside their worst league start in a decade, and injuries toLuis Diaz- who will besidelined until after the World CupTrent Alexander-ArnoldandJoel Matiprubbed salt in an already stinging wound.

All of which could make this weekend the best possible time for Pep Guardiolas side to end a four-game winless streak against their main rivals for the past five seasons. The currentPremier Leaguechampions remain unbeaten this campaign, have a striker in Erling Haaland who has scored 15 goals in nine league games, and are favourites for a fifth title in six years.

But City defender Ake is far from complacent, admitting that a packed out Anfield is never an easy place to go and the Reds have shown their ability to bounce back from adversity.

I have always got the feeling that at one point they can just bounce back because they have a quality manager and all the players are quality, Ake told theManchester Evening News. They have shown that over the years.

I think they can deal with setbacks and I expect them to come back. Every game we want to win and Sunday is no different. Obviously, it will be a tough place to go. It is never easy to go there so we have to make sure we are in a good place.

I think everyone is looking forward to it. We have a few days to prepare. We can do that on the training pitch and I think it will be a good game.

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta says he 100 percent backs the account of his players amid the FA investigation after last weekends clash with Liverpool.

Sundays match saw theRedssuffer a 3-2 defeat to the Gunners in the Premier League clash at the Emirates Stadium. The aftermath of the game resulted in theFA launching an investigationinto an incident between Arsenal defender Gabriel Magalhaes and Jordan Henderson.

The FA said in a statement: We are aware of an incident that took place during the match between Arsenal andLiverpool. We are in dialogue with the match officials and will review the details of the incident.

Referee Michael Oliver went over to speak to Jurgen Klopp and Arteta about the incident, and the Liverpool boss would not speak any further when asked by reporters post-match. Now Arteta has been asked again about the incident, and as claimed by theMail Onlinehe says he stood by his players account 100 percent.

What Jurgen Klopp showed Liverpool players at half-time to inspire Rangers blitz

Jurgen Klopp acknowledges the Liverpool fans after the win at Rangers

Jurgen Klopp credited Liverpools half-time team talk as the turning point after they obliterated Rangers 7-1 in the Champions League on Wednesday.

Scott Arfields opener was cancelled out by Roberto Firminos header before the two teams went in level at the break and the first-half performance was a disappointing one in-keeping with much of the season so far.

However,Liverpoollooked a much slicker unit after the restart as they scored six times that included a six-minute-and-12-second hat-trick from substitute Mohamed Salah alongside efforts from Darwin Nunez, Harvey Elliott and a second from Firmino, who made it 2-1 on the night.

We had a really positive half time talk, Klopp said. We conceded a goal, scored an equaliser and had really good football moments, and we wanted more of that in the second half.

We showed the boys which spaces we could play in. We knew especially if we could keep them moving, with the way they play, it could be really intense.

In the end we needed to get clearer in the final third, which obviously worked out! All the goals were absolutely great, how we played them and set them up and finished them off. That was the decisive part.

A game is 95 minutes usually, so if you can build on parts of the first half you have to do that, and we did.

Jurgen Klopp outlines Mohamed Salah hope after hat-trick from different Liverpool position

(Image: Photo by John Powell/Liverpool FC via Getty Images)

Jurgen Klopp hailed special Mohamed Salah after another astonishing record and believes it can spark the Liverpool forwards season.

Salah came off the bench to score the fastest hat-trick in Champions League history as the Reds romped to anhistoric 7-1 triumph at Rangerson Wednesday evening.

TheEgyptian netted his treble inside six minutes and 12 seconds, beating the previous quickest held by Bafetimbi Gomis of eight minutes when playing for Lyon against Dinamo Zagreb in 2011.

And with 38 goals in the Champions League proper, Salah has scored the most times in the competition for a single English club.

The forward has experienced an underwhelming season by his standards, illustrated by his substitution in last weekends 3-2 Premier League defeat at Arsenal.

And when asked what the hat-trick could do for Salah, Klopp said: Everything. You could see the reaction. I couldnt see Mo celebrating because he was always running in the corner but you could see with Darwin (Nunez) that it meant the world to him. The relief is big. All the effort is paying off.

We all know when it is running for Mo he is exceptional, absolutely exceptional. Obviously it was a different position for him tonight, coming on. I hope for him everything works for him from now on, like I hope it does for us!

Giovanni van Bronckhorst admits he cant explain how Rangers allowed Liverpool to romp to historic victory in the Champions League.

The Scottish Premiership side took a first-half lead only to collapse in dramatic fashion in the final 20 minutes as they slumped to a7-1 defeat at Ibrox on Wednesday evening.

It was the heaviest loss suffered by a Scottish side against English opposition in European competition, and also matched Rangers worst defeat in their history.

And a downhearted Van Bronckhorst said: Its very hard to explain at the moment. Im still processing the second half. I cannot explain it.

We started the game really well first half, played really well. We knew the strength of Liverpool with their pressing and played well over their press with balls behind the defence and playing for the second ball. We scored the goal in a great transition moment.

But we gave the corner away and we knew if you play short passes after short passes they will press you and it was the first moment we did it and got the goal against.

WhileLiverpoolhave guaranteed at least Europa League football in the New Year, Rangers have now lost all four group games on their first appearance in the Champions League group stage for a decade.

And Van Bronckhorst added: After the 3-1, you could see we were set up playing too short and they punished us four times with their transitions. In the last 20 minutes we were not in the game, not with our heads, not with the decisions we make. When Liverpool put Thiago, Jota and Salah on and youre not in the game, you get punished.

Liverpool reportedly have a strong interest in West Ham midfielder Declan Rice.

The Reds early season misfortunes has lead to increased scrutiny on the midfield and Jurgen Klopp as well as speculation surrounding proposed targets. Following an injury to Jordan Henderson,Liverpoolmoved to make the late addition of Arthur Melo on loan from Juventus - who has since suffered an injury andnow faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

And the middle of the park remains a hotly contested talking point surrounding Liverpool. Jude Bellingham is repeatedly linked with a move to Anfield but latest speculation has seen Declan Rice touted with a move to Merseyside.

According toFootball Insider, Liverpool are continuing to lay the groundwork for a marquee midfield signing next year and have a strong interest in the Hammers skipper.

It has been reported that the Reds could reignite their interest in Rice after they highlighted his qualities last summer but couldnt front West Hams transfer demands.

Rice has come to the fore as one of the standout midfielders in the Premier League and has barged his way into Gareth Southgates England plans - where he is now a bonafide starter.

The future of superstar Kylian Mbappe looks uncertain, after it was revealed that he is plotting a route out of Paris Saint-Germain, with Real Madrid and four other clubs said to be after the Frenchman.

Los Blancos are still the main contenders, according toSPORT, with former Premier League player Jan-Aage Fjortoft reporting that there could be an agreement between the two clubs after the World Cup. This is despite counter claims that PSG have no intention of selling their star man.

But the other clubs thought to be in contention include Liverpool - with Jurgen Klopp having sounded out Mbappe about a move in the past - Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United.

Any move by the Reds would likely have to involve a club record fee.

Reds thought to be watching Guido Rodriguez

Liverpool are eyeing Real Betis midfielder Guido Rodriguez, according to reports in Spain.

It is no secret that the Reds need to reinforce their midfield options after a stuttering start to the new season and according toEstadio Deportivo, the 28-year-old is on their radar.

Seville club Betis are in some financial difficulty and it is said that they could sell the Argentine in the next transfer window to help balance the books.

Despite the rumour, there is no evidence to suggest that Liverpool have made any bid as of yet.
